FUNDING PROPOSAL: SCHOOL FEEDING IN SIERRA LEONE

This is what you can do: Your support for the school meals project will play a key role in helping the next generation of children in Sierra Leone – especially girls – to thrive and reach their full potential. You will also help women-led farming co-operatives. We have an urgent goal to raise $500K by June 30, 2023 .

Now extended to August 31 .

ABOVE: Students line up to receive their daily hot lunch at school. They usually have rice and fish, or garri, which is flour from starchy cassava root. Before the school feeding program was launched student numbers had dwindled as children dropped out to help support their parents or because their empty bellies mean it’s impossible to concentrate in class. RIGHT: Women join in the preparing the lunch meal using produce and supplies from local female-led farming co-operatives.
