Looking Forward PLAN INTERNATIONAL CANADA 2023–2027 STRATEGIC PLAN A nticipating the first global pandemic in decades wasn’t in anyone’s strategic plan, including ours. But there’s nothing like the unexpected to inspire unexpected innovation and perseverance! As this Annual Report showcases, that was the case at Plan International Canada. We did persevere. We dug deeper, built new skills and discovered new resources to support our mission. We also successfully completed our 20 Million Reasons strategy plan (previous page). So it’s time to look ahead and focus on our mission to help create a world in which children’s rights are respected and there’s equality for girls. We’re confident that our new five-year strategic plan, All Girls Standing Strong, will increase our impact, strengthen our legitimacy and future- proof our efforts. With perseverance, passion and determined positivity, we will continue to help build a just world. By 2027, we’re going to create a more just world for 30 million children , half of them girls .
20 MILLION REASONS In 2022, we completed 20 Million Reasons, our five-year strategy. We reached 31 million children. We inspired 10.7 million actions by Canadians. We raised $1.23 billion. We increased our gender-transformative programing from 50% to 75% with girls at the core of everything we did. We establshed a five-year 19.4% average FAR (fundraising and administration ratio). 20 REASONS Here are 20 children and teens from 80+ countries where Plan International works to create a world in which children’s rights are respected and there’s equality for girls. .
